The highly anticipated, all new studio album, following up on the two digital singles: ‘Let the Flowers grow’ (feat. Boy George) and the brand new ‘Swoon’, on which two of the GREATS (Trent Reznor of NINE INCH NAILS and Peter Murphy) are teaming up for an amazing collaboration, that sounds very David Bowiesh in fact! First emerging from the British punk and rock underground in the late '70s, Peter Murphy fronted the groundbreaking iconic rock band Bauhaus before launching his solo career.

“Silver Shade” shows Peter Murphy's voice at it's most iconic and majestic and stands out as a stellar addition to the legacy of Peter Murphy. Peter’s spellbinding voice and the lush romanticism and depth of his lyrical style continue to enthrall his fans, old and new alike, creating a richly woven tapestry that perfectly balances meaning, melody, and rhyme! His first new album since 2014s ‘Lion’, contains 12 original songs and features a number of illustrious guests from the global music scene! 

Masterly recorded and produced with one of the world’s finest producers: YOUTH aka Martin Glover (of Killing Joke), who produced or remixed approx. 100% of all British (and non British) artists in the last 30+ years, incl. Depeche Mode, Yazoo, U2, The Art of Noise, Erasure, The Orb, Kate Bush, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Heather Nova, Bananarama, Marc Almond, The Sugarcubes, Faith No More, INXS, The Mission, The Cult, Marilyn Manson (I could go on for HOURS...)

Peter Murphy's initial foray into the music world was as the inimitable singer for the pioneering early-80's band Bauhaus. Forged in the flat fields of working-class Northampton, Bauhaus helped create what became known as the post-punk genre. Peter Murphy burst onto the music scene as an exhilarating, radical, and visceral performer, known for performances which mesmerized audiences. His dramatic brooding beauty and unique, sonorous baritone set the standard for an endless number of imitators who attempted to follow in his wake. A masterful interpreter, Peter had a remarkable knack for getting under the skin and deep into the heart!

After the breakup of Bauhaus in 1983, Peter Murphy joined with former Japan bassist Mick Karn for the Dali’s Car project. They released one album, “The Waking Hour”, before splitting. With the encouragement of Martin Mills, the founder of Beggars Banquet, Peter Murphy embarked on his solo career, in which he has released a total of 10 acclaimed solo albums, with 4 in the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, numerous EPs, live albums, and various collaborative projects.
